I have been waiting anywhere from 3 weeks to entire months before I get my hair done. The last time I went it cost me $90 (what the hell!?). I mean, I know you are a celebrity stylist and all but, this piece up here is natural. No perm, no texturizer, nada. Why did I just pay $85 to get a trim and press and $5 for a wash? OMG! People are always so impressed when my hairdresser does my hair but, I am not impressed with the price. I am stuck with a dilemma. I need to find more affordable hair care. Granted that I pay $65 when I don't trim my hair but once again Natural people! Just wash, dryer, blow dry straighten, a little product bam! I'm out the door. I don't need a fancy hair doo none of that. Why do I feel like my pocket is raped every time I go to get my hair done. Last time I went (the $90 trip), the hairdresser actually thought I was kidding when I said that I needed to leave and I would be back to pay. I had to say, "no seriously, I don't have enough money to pay you. I need to go to the bank."

So! What does an asthmatic with no sense of hair maintenance do with her hair in the winter when natural is not an option? Let me tell you why it is not an option for me. Natural hair for me has to be washed first thing in the morning, product added, scarf put on, heat applied around the scarf to prevent big hair (hate it with a passion), then head to work with wet hair. I have asthma now mix wet hair with 43 or lower temperatures and tell me what you get?! That's right pneumonia ladies and gentlemen. So again I ask: What does a budget balling diva do about her natural hair in the winter since natural is not an option?

was it always $85/$90? seems like this is a sudden change.
there is a cocnept salon that specializes in natural hair. i haven't been in awhile but the cost of a shampoo, blow & flat iron was $55.
also, i know of another stylist, who used to work at said salon but since opened her own, and i think her price is $45 and she's in roswell. very good work. if you're interested, let me know and i'll pass on the info.
Ms. Money,
yes! I am beyond interested. Please do share! Can you email it to me challengerdebt at gmail dot com.
I have previously paid $55 with my last hairdresser of the last four years. She moved and the new stylist charges $65 and $85 to trim and style. I consider myself pretty low maintenance on the hair ( I just want it straightened with a bump (curl) on the ends), so paying all this money is hitting my pockets and it hurts
okay ... just sent it.
